Boao Forum for Asia Manila Conference
On 23, April, 2019, Boao Forum for Asia Manila Conference was held successfully in Manila, the Philippines. Mr. Zhou Xiaochuan, Vice Chairman of the Boao Forum for Asia, Vice Chairman of the 12th National Committee of the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference and Former Governor of the People’s Bank of China, and H.E. Gloria Arroyo, Speaker of the House of Representatives of the Republic of the Philippines, Former President delivered opening remarks. H.E. Rodrigo Duterte, President of the Republic of the Philippines, gave a keynote speech at the conference. With the great support from Mr. Tony Tan, CEO of Prime Information Technology Corporation, members of China-ASEAN Information Harbor Digital Economy Alliance (hereinafter referred to as CADEA), such as China-ASEAN Information Harbor Co., Ltd., Dahua Technology Co., Ltd. and Myan Tel Holdings Ltd. etc. participated in thematic events of Boao Forum for Asia Manila Conference. Representatives from CADEA have had good and fruitful interaction with participants present on further cooperation and development.
During the Conference, H.E. Gloria Arroyo held a special luncheon for CADEA members and listened carefully to their wishes and demands. H.E. Gloria Arroyo indicated that the Philippine government attaches great importance to the development of digital economy and welcomes enterprises from other countries to conduct cooperation on digital economy in the Philippines.
CADEA will continue paying close attention to latest development of digital economy in China as well as ASEAN countries and offering members more opportunities to go to ASEAN countries and participate in multilateral meetings and activities, striving to develop an open platform for information sharing, project convergence and financing. CADEA is willing to make contributions to the development of Digital Silk Road together with all its members.
